Oh Wil Wheaton.. you totally make me nerd masturbate!

I have had many moments in my life where, I have been caught with my nerd showing. I understand the pain of having a spouse who will look at me and go... " uh, hunny, you can't use the force to get what you want in this situation."

Therapeutic Babbling, Getting Nervous, looking at links!

I am getting antsy pantsy. I am at work currently and after looking at my schedule.. I will only have three more days of work after today.. and one of those days.. is in the middle of the day.. in the middle of the week. I am sure that that means exit interview or something like that.

With that being said, I am still busy and important and have a lot of things that I need to do to get ready for the next step in my very crazy and amazing life. I think that also, I am having the worlds biggest panic attack / guilty feeling. I know that I have many many many things that I need to do to get ready to move.. and then there is also this anxiety and guilt because I quite literally everyday get told by someone..oh no, I am going to miss you! We should hang out! In my mind.. I say.. that is nice..do you want to come over to my mom's house and help me sort through boxes of shit and then help me run errands like go to the bookstore that buys comic books? No?! Then.. well.. I will see where I can fit you in.

Oh well, I will figure it out, I hope. If not.. then.. I guess that I am just going move random bullshit up to Canada :(. However, now.. I am at work.. I can't do anything "productive" at work.. so here is a bunch of internet.

I would like to encourage you to Make Yourself..... Fucking Lovely! Oh Korea, you rock.

This is a brilliant moment of Ah Ha! Why did the chicken cross the road? Well.. the answer is far more spiritual that one might think.

As a practice, I tried not to write notes to my friends in middle school, because I knew that someone would find it and then know that I was selling pot.. but yea.. if you will a gallery of such notes.

The funny things people do celebrate a funeral

Hello all,

So, apparently this week is the week that Lent starts..

I am not Catholic, nor am I any sort of Christian (even though I was baptized.. my mother kinda drug me around to whatever religion who would do a non-invasive coming of age blessing, so that my bases were covered) however, I find that the bruhaha of the start of lent is kinda interesting. Yes, There is Mardi Gras/Carnival. That is apparently like.. a giant drunken fuckfest."Fat Tuesday" was yesterday and whereas people who are hard core catholic yesterday spent that time eating and fucking.. the more stodgy and puritanical versions of Christianity where celebrating something I actually like a lot more.. PANCAKE TUESDAY! I really like pancakes.

Today, Is Ash Wednesday.

I made this to celebrate

I am also going to a party on Friday night.. and it is pinup themed. (sigh) Ok, here is the deal kids. I have shitty hair. I mean.. my hair.. it is the type of hair that you wash, dry and brush. You can't style this shit. It is hard.. so today I took some time to try an figure out how to do my hair.. and really I just could only figure out a way to rat my hair into to two bumps and then but it in a pony tail. It looks ok.. but oh how I wish I could actually do a Victory Roll!

And then also the black velvet chinese dress I wore to my wedding recepetion.

Peter is coming down to see me and people this weekend that is nice. It is good change from me going up there all the time. Also, he gets to help me figure out what to pack and what to get rid of. :D

Things are sinking in..

I officially gave notice to my job this weekend, but I didn't get actual confirmation until this morning. I am going to say it.. I have immense, extreme, amazing love for giving notice to a job. I haven't had many chances to do so in my life, so having the extreme euphoria is rad.

With this being said, I am now realizing that I am going to have to bust my ass to get everything that I need done.. I mean.. I have to figure out how I am going to get all of my stuff up there. I need to start networking to see if I can get a job in not a lot of time. I will need to do things like.. learn how to drink beer from a stubby.

But then, there are the things that I think that I am going to miss more than anyone will ever know, but then again, maybe not.

There are a lot of Ethiopian food places in Seattle, I think that it has the highest amount of Ethiopian food places on the west coast, my favorite is Lalibela. So you could imagine my shock/surprise/happiness when I was checking to see if there are Ethiopian places where I am about to move to and there is another Lalibela, mere minutes from my new place of residency.

But then there are other things, that I am pretty sure that I will not be able to have/enjoy again. They don't interesting independant film theaters, like the Grand Illusion, Egyptian, Metro, Varisty or Majestic Bay.. oh, oh wait.. They have the Rio and the Dolphin?

Oh, I know! Pike Place Market! .... Wait.. what! You have an entire island that is a Farmers Market!

cuppy cakes? oh, ok ok cuppy cakes..

Uwajimaya! Crystal Mall and Metrotown.

Ok, I get it, Where I will be living will have all of the things I really love about living in Seattle. There is art, water taxis, aquariums, so on and so forth, however, it will not have my friends and family.. but it does have my husband. Time to grow up and be all grown up like. By the way.. BC Tourism Board should hire me.
