Post 99..

Hey kiddos,

This is my 99th post.. which means that the next.. will be the big 100!
Things are settling down here in the great white north. I have pretty much unpacked what I need to unpack to do things like cook, eat, wear clothing, so now, it is time to do the tidy it up unpacking. Get the desk set up, break-down boxes, actually scrub the "bachelor" out of the apartment that Peter has been living in since December...

I am dealing with some culture shock that I didn't know I would have.. apparently, when people go to job interviews.. they wear black or grey. I didn't know this, I had a job interview on Friday, and I was the only one wearing a lick of color.. and boy.. howdy, did it make the interviewer think me "awkward". I have also noticed, that when people call you on the phone for jobs, they don't introduce themselves. Yesterday, I had a job interview happen, because the guy called me at 10:30 in the morning.. and didn't really give me much to go on. I have been here less than a week and I have applied for 60 jobs, so, I had to ask him, who he was, where he was calling from, the title of post on Craigslist and then what the date was. Then, I had an idea of whom I was talking to. It went ok and I really want a job.

So, with all of that.. I am feeling optimistic about life. I missed and forgot what it was like to live with my best friend. I haven't laughed this much and consistently since we parted ways in December 2010. I am pretty sure for the 100th post, I am going to post how I got up here.. in a kind of step by step thinger.

Would you like to look at some videos and links?!

Amazing video from TED lecture series about a open-source way to help people with ALS communicate once again.

Buzzfeed has a cool gallery of the live models who were then immortalized by Gil Elvgren Cheesecake Pinups.

I would like to give a shot out to my homie Javier, he is doing his own version of the time hack, 30 days of something new. He has taken a hobo to dinner, made an end table and baked pie. I want you to encourage him by reading and following his blogger.

I know what I am going to do next year.. for April Fools Day.. I just have to make sure that there are no Muslims or Jews in my future workplace..

Today's Sunday Sweets is pretty amazing.. tattoos + cake= I want
